WHEN I LOOK BACK

When I look back
On the dreams I left behind,
Buried there in all my thoughts
It is you I always find.

I saw you then as I see you now
Through love's impassioned blindness,
A heart so fashioned there within
Filled with love and kindness.

How often has my heart declared
With anguish, for my words are few,
That the wind shall blow a little longer,
To keep me here with you.

Sweeter still are the pains of love.
The bonds of love grow stronger,
Even after the moonlight has gone to sleep,
I shall always love you longer.

No other can stir my heart so deep,
Or thrill me through and through,
And in my dreams, there will never be
No other love but you.

When I look back to times gone by
There is one sure thing I know
It is you my love, who stole my heart
Fifty years ago.

MAKE ME FEEL

Take my heart; I'll give it with ease. Take my hand and walk this journey with me. Take these scars and heal them all up. Take these fears and make them vanish when things get tough. Take this smile and make it stretch so wide. Take these arms and hold me oh so tight. Take these feelings and make them real. At the end, show me how to feel. GOD'S GIFT

Love is like a river, A never ending stream. Love is shared by each other To answer someone's dream. It's a never ending story; Love is not a lie. You can share in all its glory, For love will never die. Love is all around you, The moon and stars above. Love is a gift from God, And God is a gift of love Source:  https://www.familyfriendpoems.com/poem/gods-gift-4

IF NOT FOR YOU

If not for you, I wouldn’t know What true love really meant. I’d never feel this inner peace; I couldn’t be content. If not for you, I’d never have The pleasures of romance. I’d miss the bliss, the craziness, Of love’s sweet, silly dance. I have to feel your tender touch; I have to hear your voice; No other one could take your place; You’re it; I have no choice. If not for you, I’d be adrift; I don’t know what I’d do; I’d be searching for my other half, Incomplete, if not for you. By Joanna Fuchs
