GOD'S GIFT

Love is like a river, A never ending stream. Love is shared by each other To answer someone's dream. It's a never ending story; Love is not a lie. You can share in all its glory, For love will never die. Love is all around you, The moon and stars above. Love is a gift from God, And God is a gift of love Source:  https://www.familyfriendpoems.com/poem/gods-gift-4

MAKE ME FEEL

Take my heart; I'll give it with ease. Take my hand and walk this journey with me. Take these scars and heal them all up. Take these fears and make them vanish when things get tough. Take this smile and make it stretch so wide. Take these arms and hold me oh so tight. Take these feelings and make them real. At the end, show me how to feel. YOU

You are what I’ve been searching for, chasing after, longing to find, every star, moonbeam and dream, all of every thing so infinitely far away and yet so intimately here in my arms. Source:  https://www.familyfriendpoems.com/poem/you-69

WHEN I LOOK BACK

When I look back On the dreams I left behind, Buried there in all my thoughts It is you I always find. I saw you then as I see you now Through love's impassioned blindness, A heart so fashioned there within Filled with love and kindness. How often has my heart declared With anguish, for my words are few, That the wind shall blow a little longer, To keep me here with you. Sweeter still are the pains of love. The bonds of love grow stronger, Even after the moonlight has gone to sleep, I shall always love you longer. No other can stir my heart so deep, Or thrill me through and through, And in my dreams, there will never be No other love but you. When I look back to times gone by There is one sure thing I know It is you my love, who stole my heart Fifty years ago. - Richard Netherland Cook -

IF NOT FOR YOU

If not for you, I wouldn’t know What true love really meant. I’d never feel this inner peace; I couldn’t be content. If not for you, I’d never have The pleasures of romance. I’d miss the bliss, the craziness, Of love’s sweet, silly dance. I have to feel your tender touch; I have to hear your voice; No other one could take your place; You’re it; I have no choice. If not for you, I’d be adrift; I don’t know what I’d do; I’d be searching for my other half, Incomplete, if not for you. By Joanna Fuchs

SHE WALKS IN BEAUTY

She walks in beauty, like the night Of cloudless climes and starry skies; And all that's best of dark and bright Meet in her aspect and her eyes: Thus mellowed to that tender light Which heaven to gaudy day denies. One shade the more, one ray the less, Had half impaired the nameless grace Which waves in every raven tress, Or softly lightens o'er her face; Where thoughts serenely sweet express How pure, how dear their dwelling place. And on that cheek, and o'er that brow, So soft, so calm, yet eloquent, The smiles that win, the tints that glow, But tell of days in goodness spent, A mind at peace with all below, A heart whose love is innocent! Written June 12, 1814. This poem is in the public domain. author: George Gordon Byron SHORT BIO ABOUT THE AUTHOR George Gordon Byron was the author of  Don Juan , a satirical novel-in-verse that is considered one of the greatest epic poems in English written since  John Milton’ s  Paradise Lost.

FROM MY HEART

A million stars up in the sky. One shines brighter - I can't deny. A love so precious, a love so true, a love that comes from me to you. The angels sing when you are near. Within your arms I have nothing to fear. You always know just what to say. Just talking to you makes my day. I love you, honey, with all of my heart. Together forever and never to part.
